About Me
I am a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I work in accordance with BACP ethical framework. I have been a qualified Music Therapist working in a variety of settings and privately since 2017. For the past two years I have worked as a Counsellor in a Charity seeing clients for short term and longer term work. I am a qualified integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor with a BSc from Matrix College, Wymondham. I also work as a group facilitator in a charity run eating recovery service.
In line with my background in music therapy, I have a strong interest in creativity within the therapeutic relationship. Art or music can form part of the process of therapy. Creativity can be a useful way to get to an emotional heart of a problem. That said, I would only ever look to use creativity where a client is keen to do so. I work in a trauma informed way, putting a safe, strong therapeutic relationship at very heart of the process of counselling.
